At Swor Women's Care, we specialize in minimally-invasive surgery such as operative laparoscopy. In 947 consecutive cases we treated endometriosis in 401, removed fibroids (myomectomy) in 102 and did both in 51. We treated other conditions in 393 other cases. Patients were discharged in less than 12 hours in 97.5% of cases. The rated their pain score at 24-48 hours postop at an average of 1.8 out of 10. They averaged 3.8 days to resume 50% of normal activities. The risk of any single complication during surgery was 0.2% or less and no patients required laparotomy conversion (big incision). Patients rated their overall experience 4 or 5 stars in 98.5% of the cases.
Since 2016 we have introduced low impact laparoscopy techniques using smaller incisions and instruments including 3mm sizes and the ERAS program (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery).
