Instructions for Monitoring Ovulation

1. Count cycle days starting on the first day of your period as Day 1

2. Continue to count until a new period starts, then start a new Day 1

3. If Clomid or Serophene is prescribed, then begin starting dose on
day 5 to 9

4. Use a urine dipstick ovulation kit from the drugstore and follow
it’s specific instructions…typically starting testing on about Day 10

5. If testing shows no ovulation, and there is no period by Day 32,
then start Prometrium 200 mg. daily for 6 days and begin again
when period starts with Day 1

6. If testing shows ovulation, then wait for either pregnancy or period…
if period begins, then repeat the same treatment that was done the
prior cycle

7. If ovulation did not occur, then increase Clomid dose the next cycle
by 50 mg. daily (Example: 50 mg. to 100 mg. or 100 mg. to 150 mg.,
etc.)

8. If ovulation did occur, but period came, then repeat the same treatment
the next cycle

9. If unsure if ovulation occurred, then we will have a blood test for
Progesterone level done between cycle day 19-23
