April Campbell is a CNM, previously working in Conyers, GA in a private OB/GYN practice. Prior to completing graduate school at Frontier Nursing University, she worked for four years as a labor and delivery nurse. She is excited to be joining Swor Women’s Care in 2017. She lives in Osprey with her husband Rhett, 10 year old daughter Emma and their dog Henry. She enjoys running with her husband and spending time at the beach
April provides care to a diverse population of women starting in the pre-adolescent period. She functions as a full scope midwife in the office conducting annual exams, GYN care, birth control management (including IUD placement), preconception care, routine prenatal care, and management of high-risk obstetrical patients in collaboration with physicians. She also performs in hospital triage, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, including first assisting with cesarean section delivery.
April feels a woman’s birth experience, positive or negative, is a direct reflection on the quality of care she receives during her antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care. As a midwife it is her responsibility to provide quality care beyond just attending to the physical needs of her patients, but also attending to their emotional needs through an individualized approach that focuses on education and empowerment of each woman.
